ChemInform Abstract: Rhodium Enalcarbenoids: Direct Synthesis of Indoles by Rhodium(II)-Catalyzed [4 + 2] Benzannulation of Pyrroles

Rhodium catalyzed decomposition of enaldiazo compounds provides electrophilic rhodium enalcarbenoids which react with pyrroles to form substituted indoles including the natural product leiocarpone (XI).
