ChemInform Abstract: One-Pot Synthesis of 2-(Dicyanomethylene)-1,2-dihydropyridine Derivatives

A simple protocol for the synthesis of the title species by a domino process between 1,3‐dicarbonyl compounds and malononitrile dimers in the presence of NaNO2 as base is presented.
