Zusammenfassung:When catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) surveillance began in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in September 2010, the CAUTI rate was 10.4 /1,000 foley days. By September 2011, the rate had decreased to zero. Despite continued staff compliance with CAUTI reduction practices, in September 2012, the rate climbed to an alarming 17.1 CAUTIs /1,000 foley days.
