Zusammenfassung:Indwelling urinary catheter (UC) use is associated with decreased mobility, patient discomfort and an increased risk for catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI). Inappropriate catheter use has been reported to range from 21% to greater than 50%. This project aimed to eliminate inappropriate catheter use, optimize duration, and ultimately reduce CAUTI.
