Zusammenfassung:The present work was aimed at determining the length-weight relationship of bitterling in the freshwater of Turkey. For this purpose, total of 2265 bitterling specimens were examined belonging to the Western Black Sea, Gediz, Small Meander, Northern Eagean, Sakarya, Susurluk, Marmara, Meriç and Yesilirmak basins in the museum of Freshwater Fish collection in Ege University Fisheries Faculty. Total lengths ranged from 1.60 to 8.30 cm and total weights from 0.06 to 10.65 g for all individuals of the species in the freshwater of Turkey.
