Staphylococcus AureusDirectly Induces Effector Functions Of Eosinophils In Vitro
SA induced a multitude of inflammatory cytokine production from eosinophils, namely, IL-17, IL-6, IL-8, IL-9, MIP-1β, VEGF, FGF basic, IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-12p40/70, MIP-1α, IP-10, and RANTES, but not Th2 cytokines and anti-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-4, IL-5 IL-13, IL-10 and TGF-β.
