Intimacy and Technology: Is There an App for That?

Reviews the book, The Couple and Family Technology Framework: Intimate Relationships in a Digital Age by Katherine M. Hertlein and Markie L. C. Blumer (see record 2013-28279-000). With this book, the authors provide an excellent overview of the impact of technology on couple and family relationships. The book does not provide an encyclopedic manual on the treatment of Internet-related relationship problems. It does, however, describe a clear and easily applicable model for a therapist’s use in conceptualizing the manner in which interpersonal problems that are technology based can be addressed.
