Zusammenfassung: | A new functional scheme of a linear accelerator-injector is presented. It permits doubling the beam energy at the output to 160 MeV. The advantages of injecting electrons into a booster synchrotron with doubled energy are obvious: the effect of the remanent nonuniform fields in the magnetic system of the booster synchrotron decreases, the decay time of the beta- and synchrotron oscillations decreases by a factor of 8 and coherent oscillations with large geometric and energy amplitudes of the injected beam are suppressed more strongly. As a result, the operation of the booster synchrotron as an injector for the electron storage ring of the Sibir-2 source of synchrotron radiation is guaranteed to be reliable and stable. |
