Zusammenfassung: | The gear couplings can compensate misalignments between two connected shafts. Main components of gear coupling are the hub and the sleeve. They create a special gearing having intersecting axes, when angular misalignment is occurred. Because of the crowned tooth surface of the hub the meshing is point contact in any instant. In this paper the position of contact points and the curvatures are determined using mathematical models of tooth surfaces. The load carrying capacity of gear coupling is restricted by the contact stress, which will be determined based on the Hertz theory. |
