Zusammenfassung:A summary of the recent introduction of Aldrovanda vesiculosa to eastern United States is presented, with discussion on the status of the species in New Jersey, New York, and Virginia. Several introduced populations include millions of individuals and have been self-sustaining for more than a decade. Aldrovanda is a globally endangered species and may soon be extinct in its natural Old World habitats.
