A INSERÇÃO DA CONTABILIDADE AMBIENTAL NO CONTEXTO UNIVERSITÁRIO BRASILEIRO DE CIÊNCIA, TECNOLOGIA E INOVAÇÃO

The transversality of Accounting is provided and Environmental Accounting is introduced within the priority domains of the program Frontier-less Science through an investigation on the pedagogical projects of the Accounting Courses in Brazilian federal universities. Methodology is based on bibliographical, exploratory, descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Although Environmental Accounting is not listed in the priority areas of the program, studies show that transversally such knowledge is present in the list of priority areas. An investigation on the possibility of strengthening the discipline in the curricula of public and private higher education is required. The establishment of a priority area in the program Frontier-less Science that would include Accounting, especially Environmental Accounting is recommended. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
