Kalam defenders appeal to the causal principle that everything that begins to exist had a cause of its existence. This paper provides a new way of arguing for the beginning of time, building on Benardete's Grim Reaper paradox and appealing to a version of David Lewis's 'patchwork principles' of modal metaphysics. |
