Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this paper is to determine competencies of visual literacy of the students of education faculty and to clarify whether there is a relation between some variables and the level of visual literacy. In the study, general screening and relational screening models have been utilized. 347 teacher candidates who study at Bartin University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University have comprised the sample of the study. In the study, "Personal Information Form" and the scale of "Visual Literacy" have been utilized as the data collection tool. According to the results of the study, it has been revealed that the level of visual literacy competency of the students of faculty of education is high in general and there is a significant and positive correlation between the level of visual literacy competency and academic achievement score.
