Absence of Relationship between History of Tuberculosis Infection, Skin Tuberculin Responses and Development of Adult Bronchial Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis and Atopy

Sixty-two patients with mild to moderate persistent bronchial asthma, 68 mild to moderate allergic rhinitis and 84 asthma accompanied with rhinitis and 220 healthy volunteers with similar ages received chest X-ray evaluation, skin allergen prick test (SPT), skin test with purified protein derivative of tuberculin (PPD), peripheral blood eosinophil count, serum total and specific (s) IgE measurements and histamine bronchial provocation test.
