Every 3 months over the course of 1 year, gene expression profiles of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from each of 337 subjects enrolled from 5 different countries were assayed by Affymetrix® oligonucleotide U133A array (which interrogates more than 22,000 sequences).
