Zusammenfassung: | With a five-year grant from the California Endowment (TCE) in 1998, the California Healthy Cities and Communities' (CHCC's) expanded program funded twenty sites to engage in capacity building for community health improvement efforts. These communities included unincorporated areas that were geographically or socially isolated and those with populations "at risk" for inequities in health status. In addition, the Central Valley was a region of great interest and significant participation. An overview of the CHCC"s success over the past 25 years is offered. |
