Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, The Future: Six Drivers of Global Change by Al Gore (see record 2013-09275-000). A few years ago, former Vice President Al Gore was asked this question: What did he think would affect the future of the world? Instead of simply providing a standard answer and moving on, Gore pondered the question, parsed the answer into six well developed themes, and produced this book. If telling people about a book is a measure of its impact, then The Future is a very powerful work. Gore wrote this book to challenge himself and others to fully consider the complexity of our future, and he has achieved this goal in splendid fashion. One cannot read it without asking many questions about our future. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved) |
