Zusammenfassung: | This study employed a content analysis of logistics-related Lessons Learned to examine the use of informal and formal networks by first responders during the Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR) following the Haiti Earthquake of 2010. Results indicated informal networks were used more frequently and provided successful resolution of issues more often than formal networks. Such insights provide HA/DR decision makers the opportunity to leverage informal networks during future relief efforts.
