Zusammenfassung: | VCR ( Vacuum Converter Refiner ) makes it possible to replace dilution process of AOD with vacuum process at the final stage of decarburization and the following slag reduction period. Ultra low carbon and nitrogen stainless steel can be produced comparatively easily in 70 ton VCR process with several operational improvements such as estimation of decarburization behavior under vacuum and preventing [N] pick-up during tapping and casting. Some operational results and discussion of decarburization and denitrification of 70 ton VCR in Chita Plant are described. |
