Zusammenfassung:We have studied two types of dioxins removal systems for EAF. One of those systems consists of double bag houses and another system has the activated carbon injection system besides double bag houses. We have made about one 50th scale equipment and fundamental experiments have been carried out with small EAF. Dioxins removal ratio by double bag house system was above 98% when offgas temperature was below 80°C and the final concentration of dioxins attained to below 0.5ng-TEQ/Nm3. On the other hand dioxins removal ratio by the activation carbon injection system was very high and it was accelerated by using mixing chamber. Then we have applied the same experimental system to large EAF for melting common steels. The concentrations of dioxins were below 0.01ng-TEQ/Nm3 with the activated carbon injection system.
