Zusammenfassung: | Reflection on how mathematical concepts are created and how the cognitive thinking involved takes place is an essential process for organizing teaching activities. Hence, the goal of this study is to analyze how the reference question is articulated in semiotic representation, based on the studies conducted by Duval and on the notion of conceptual field developed by Vergnaud. To do so, the working process of the triadic structure involved in semiotic representation is studied and an attempt to infer the meaning of the reference in this process is made. The objective is to contribute to the discussion concerning the constitution of mathematical language in the field of sciences as attributed to the mathematical teaching. |
