Zusammenfassung: | The research concerns different types of drop irrigation of potato plants growing on low-yield sandy-loam semidesertic soils of the Sultanate of Oman. The irrigation includes construction of a water-accumulating layer made of natural materials (bentonite and sapropel). Use of the water-accumulating layer made of sapropel on light-textured in terms of granulometric composition soils at an 80% rate of antecedent soil moisture has reduced water consumption of potato plants by 4.4–5.3% and increased crop capacity by 11–13%. |
