Zusammenfassung: | The present paper, dealing with the patterning and scatter evidenced by epileptic patients on psychometric tests, is the third in a series having reference to psychiatric entities which, although of importance clinically, have not received attention in this regard such as the major psychiatric groups have. The first two studies, which concerned anxiety neurosis and migraine, have been published elsewhere. Investigations of a similar nature with respect to schizophrenia and manic-depressive psychosis , paresis , and senile psychosis have been conducted by others and appeared previously in the literature. When the data were compared with those found among neurotics, migrainous patients, and "normal" subjects, the relationship among the clinical groups was more pronounced than between any of these groups and normal subjects. A discussion of specific abilities and disabilities found among epileptics is presented, together with a resume of the significance of the findings.
