This book is a report of a five-year investigation of the consequences of teenage childbearing. The book does not deal directly with causes of early childbearing. The 310-item bibliography that follows is, in itself, an important contribution to scholars, researchers, and service deliverers. In a field so filled with published reports of questionable value regarding the consequence issue, it is both refreshing and exciting to have a volume that shows us the way into the complexities of the parenting process.
