Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, Behind the Door of Delusion (see record 1932-10440-000). The anonymous author who was committed to a State Hospital as a dipsomaniac has grasped an unusual opportunity. Not only was he formerly a brilliant Newspaper man and used to writing, but he was in a position as a patient to see a state hospital as only a patient can see it, and in a mental state to allow him to observe and record intelligently. Another anonymous State Hospital patient contributes to the review as well, stating that he believes this book should be carefully read by every official, physician, attendant, and other employee connected with a state institution of this kind. Also by the friends or relatives of any and every person whom they contemplate committing to an asylum for the insane. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2019 APA, all rights reserved) |
