Zusammenfassung: | This article provides mental health highlights, which focuses on State Community Mental Health Services Acts. According to the acts, in Washington, institutions may make grants-in-aid to localities for inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation services, and consultation and informational services to other agencies and groups. The state will also help pay for inservice training for local mental health staff. The state will reimburse 50% of local expenditures of a community mental health program. According to the acts, in Colorado, The 1967 amendments extend state support to local general hospitals or psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, other agencies, and even to individual medical and mental health professional personnel providing inpatient care, partial hospitalization, or emergency services. Colorado law broadens its state aid to localities to tie in with the Federal community mental health centers program. More states will do the same in future years.
