Zusammenfassung: | This study examined the factorial validity of Cameron's (2004) Seven-Component Model of Work Profile Questionnaire-Emotional Intelligence (WPQei) in the Turkish context. The sampling of the research is a total of 783 senior students enrolled in education faculties of three universities. In order to test the validity of Cameron's WPQei scale LISREL VIII program was used, and the verification of the 7 factors was investigated by carrying out Confirmatory Factor Analyses (CFA). CFA results confirmed that, correlated first-order seven factor model proved to be the best fitting for the data. The alpha coefficient of the scale was found in the range of 0.65-0.78. The value of construct reliability and that of the variance extracted from the sample were found as adequate. The seven-factor model of the 84 items and WPQei was found to be reliable and valid for the Turkish Education context. |
