Zusammenfassung:	The helium-production cross section of Al (4N) has been measured by applying the He-accumulation method. The measuring efficiency was calibrated with a new method which is different from that of Kneff et al. and by referring the cross section of exp 27 Al(n, d) exp 24 Na reaction. The experimental set-up is described and results are compared to findings of Kneff et al. and Grimes et al . 4 ref.--J.L.B.
