Zusammenfassung:This paper proposes to describe and analyze the experience we are experiencing since 2010, with the entry of Indian students at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul The set of Brazilian public policies aimed at inclusion of university students blacks, Indians and graduates of public schools has been leveraging on UFSM a set of institutional actions to ensure their access and retention, such as the creation of the Affirmative Action Committee, the accessibility, the Commission for Implementation, Support and Retention of Indigenous Students - CIAPFAI between others. Here we aim to focus on the relationships between our first indigenous students and institutional actors in their dialogues and impact of educational policies in their training. To this end, we discuss the work that has been developed with indigenous students who are part of the Pet indigenous Ñande Reko. It is an education program in tutorial mode Knowledge Connections which is being funded by MEC since 2011, and currently has seven Indian students of diverse ethnicities and undergraduate courses.
