Zusammenfassung:Since the beginning of the pragmatic turn in the seventies, the interest in the analysis of oral communication has increased. One of the aims is to determine relevant statements about the structures of factual discussions as forms of realization of types of conversation. Two research directions are decisive. On the one hand there is the dialogue grammar, which emerged essentially from the orthodox speech act theory introduced by Austin (1962) and Searle (1969). On the other hand, conversational analysis, which is based primarily on the ethnomethodology established by Garfinkei (1967), has an effect. Agreeing on the goal, their representatives argue about the ways in which the types of people and their structures can be systematically recorded and described. Followers of dialogue grammar suggest that dialog patterns should be created before any engagement with authentic conversations. Dia- logue patterns first provided the prerequisite for structural descriptions of actual communication events. Conversational analysts, on the other hand, demand unconditional attachment to authentic material. The structures of types of conversation can only be reconstructed through an intensive study of the forms of authentic conversation.
