Zusammenfassung: | One means by which certain agricultural problems can be solved is plant factory engineering. A major problem in agriculture is unstable production due to various social and climatic factors. A plant factory that economically and stably supplies safe plants of high quality can potentially solve this problem. The object of production is a plant, and the characteristics of such a plant have to be clearly understood. Depending on the intended purpose, adequate measurement of the state of a plant and the control of its growth are primary considerations for producing plants in factories. Here, I describe an example of the mechanization and the systematization required for grafted seedling production. The best graft shape and the operation technique were decided for the graft-joining mechanism, and on the basis of these, a simplified low-cost operation technique was sought. The proposed technique and the future perspectives of plant factories, including profitability, are discussed. |
