Zusammenfassung:We undertake an overall appraisal of cross-cultural and international management education, with a view to promote critical self-reflection among teaching practitioners. We specifically go beyond the dominant functionalist perspective and utilize postcolonial perspectives to identify issues that have been ignored or unacknowledged in the mainstream pedagogical literature. We examine the historical context of origin and evolution of the management discipline, nature of the body of knowledge, curriculum and pedagogy, and its impact on students in particular.
