Zusammenfassung:In order to apply the microwave technique to textile processing, the properties of heat generation of polar substances by microwave and the effects of microwave irradiation on dyeing were investigated. Microwave is absorbed by dipoles of the molecule of the substance, transforming their energy into heat. It was found that the apparent absorption efficiency increased with increasing the volume of the substance. The electrical field decreased exponentially in the substance, depending on the penetration depth. The ionic molecule absorbed microwave strongly, with increasing the concentration of the ions in the substance. The microwave absorption led to the change of the electric field in the substance, and the heterogeneous generation of the substance was occurred. The dye uptake on the fabric increased with increasing the microwave irradiated to the dye solution. With increasing the irradiation, the polar molecules of the dye staff and the fiber begin to absorb the microwave and generate heat in the vicinity region. This feat generation seems to give an effect on the absorption of the dye on the fiber.
