Die Begriffe Ausländer/extranjero und ihr Einfluss auf die deutsche und spanische Lexikographie1/The Influence of the Concepts Ausländer/extranjero on German and Spanish Lexicography

This paper deals with aspects of lexicography and semantics. The concepts Auslander and der Andere are analyzed from a semantic point of view in German and Spanish. This analysis will further explain how these concepts have influenced German and Spanish lexicography and the role they play for these disciplines with regard to their current comprehension. It will be shown that German dictionaries of foreign words have always been more important and numerous Spanish dictionaries of foreign words. The aim of this contribution is to offer a contrastive perspective between German and Spanish dictionaries. The items to be dealt with will be taken from German and Spanish corpora: COSMAS II and CREA.
