Zusammenfassung:The Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling was found to be effective for the modification of aromatic heterocyclic rings in solvatochromic fluorophores, thereby providing quantitative evaluation of the ring effects on photophysical properties. The effect of heteroatom, a β-substituent, and the number of rings in the aromatic moiety were investigated systematically.
