Zusammenfassung:	Novel five humulenoids were isolated from Torilis scabra D.C. and their structures were determined by chemical reaction and instrumental analysis. The chiroptical method for determining the absolute configuration of allylic alcohols, reported by Harada and Nakanishi, was found to be applicable to eleven-membered-ring humulenoids.
