Zusammenfassung:Abstract The present study examined the tasks of primary school administrators related to the education of families of first grade primary school students. This study employed an experimental model, in which the perceptions of students' parents were determined. The study included the parents of first grade students from four primary schools. The participating parents were divided into two groups: an experimental group, receiving family education with educational administration expert support; and a control group, who were not receiving this education. A "Family Education Scale", developed by the researcher, was employed in the research process. The scope validity of the scale was confirmed by academics in the field educational administration; pre-application was conducted in order to determine the construct validity and reliability of the scale. Following pre-application, it was seen that the scale met the necessary criteria of validity and reliability. The results indicate that parents need family education and that this makes important contributions to child-family communication. Based on the research results, it was suggested that "family education" should be provided to the parents of first grade primary education students before the beginning of the academic year, and to give priority to parents who are socio-economically disadvantaged.
