Since I epitomize an important demographic target for Jewish Jocks (I am Jewish, I love sports, and I an kind of old), I volun- teer to be on the committee to decide which Jewish luminaries make the next book: Robert G. Masin, son of Seymour "Swede" Masin Robert G. Masin has been the national sales manager for W. L. Gore (Gore-tex fabric), and a senior vice president of sales and merchandising for the Columbia Sportswear Co. After retirement, he authored Swede: Weequa- hic's Gentle Giant (IUniverse, 2009), a tribute to his father, Seymour "Swede" Masin, and the inspiration for the character Seymour "Swede" Levov in Philip Roth's American Pastoral. |
