This study attemps to deepen the knowledge of the Case Study as a research method. The Case Study, among the qualitative research methods, seems to be potentialy valuable for the exploration of the relationship of the information systems and the user perceptions and behaviours. Our purpose is, after an analysis of important articles in the area using that methodology, to organize a set of steps to lead our research, still under construction. We believe the recomendations of this work, though in learning phase, can provide valuable contributions for other researches that are envolved with Case Study applications. The search of higher scientific rigour on the qualitative method application, e.g. Case Study, will be one of the ways to reach a bigger validity for the results. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
