Zusammenfassung: | The authors have already established a method for the determination of a small amount of vanadium by the light absorbancy method of using sodium diphenylaminesulfonate and good results were obtained in the test of a few samples. Since this method was found to be easily applicable to various kinds of samples by a slight modification of the procedure, the determination of vandium in the following various substances was attempted this time, i. e. iron ores, steel slags, cements, manganese dioxide for dry storage batteries, carbonaceous substances such as oil coke and pitch, and raw materials or intermediates for the titanium industry such as ilmenite, titanium slag, titanium tetrachloride, metallic titanium and others. The results indicate that this method is excellent. The vanadium in all of these was determined. |
