Zusammenfassung:The most comprehensive studies on specific features of composition and ecological roles of ants in urban ecosystems of temperate Eurasia have been performed in Warsaw (Pisarski and Czechowski, 1978), Cheboksary (Krasilnikov, 1985), Yekaterinburg (Malozemova and Malozemov, 1999), Salair (Blinova, 2009), Irkutsk, and Gusinoozersk (Antonov, 2008). The authors studies have been performed in the cities of Baikalsk and Irkutsk, as well as in Gusinoozersk, which is sur rounded largely by steppe. Therefore, it is interesting to compare the ant assemblages of the above seven cit ies comparatively.
