Zusammenfassung: | As porous glass under severe contorolled condition has the very narrow range of pore size distribution and similar pore shape irrespective of its size, the effects of pore size can be examined clearly. Effects of pore size on the retention time for several kinds of standard materials were examined by reversed-phase chromatography using five kinds of octadecyl silanized (ODS-) porous glasses with different pore diameters. The result shows that the retention time is greatly influenced by the pore diameter, i.e., the larger the pore diameter, the shorter the time required for elution. Thus the retention time can be adjusted by controlling the pore diameter. |
