Trajectory of cognitive functioning in psychosis: a 20 year follow-up study

According to neurodevelopmental model, cognitive dysfunction develops during premorbid phase of the disorder and is maintained through the illness course. According to neurodegenerative model, cognition continues to decline after illness onset faster than expected due to normal aging.
