EVALUATION OF THE WILSON PARAMETERS BY NOMOGRAPHS

To evaluate the Wilson parameters from the activity coefficients in an infinitely dilute binary solution, nomographs have been prepared which show the following features of the Wilson equation. i. In a system of positive deviations from ideal behaviour only I set of parameters exists. ii. In a system of negative deviations, I through 3 sets of parameters satisfy the Wilson equation. By these nomographs, the authors have evaluated the Wilson parameters for the acetone-chloroform system, which give a good representation of the data.
