ChemInform Abstract: A Practical, Ligand-Free, Palladium-Catalyzed Isocyanide Insertion Reaction for the Construction of Novel Ring-Fused Quinazolines

A cascade reaction of isatoic anhydride, phenylhydrazines and 2‐bromobenzaldehyde provides the key intermediates (IV) which undergo Pd‐catalyzed isocyanide insertion reactions to afford novel ring‐fused quinazolines.
