Sincelejo's enterprise history 1920 - 1935

The objective of this article is to describe and interpret the Sincelejo's enterprisehistory between years 1920 - 1935, with respect to its enterprise activities, its enterprisedirection, its increasing and crisis periods, and its most significant companies. Themethodology included elaboration of the state-of-the-art, revision and analysis of theprotocols of the Notary's office First of Sincelejo, as well as of animated sources. Theused methods were the description, the analysis, the synthesis and the hermeneutics. InSincelejo, the most important economic activity was the cattle ranch, the only exportingactivity. Also they stood out the commerce of merchandise, the banking, fluvial andeducative activity. In the industry two companies were very common: aguardiente andthe usury.
