Zusammenfassung:Taking into account teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language (TFL) is a new discipline, as a starting point, analyzing students' needs through students' and their teachers' views has an importance for students active involvement in educational environment. Thus, an efficient curriculum according to determined student needs can be prepared in advance. However, there are external factors for designing and implementing the curriculum apart from student itself. Then, the analysis of existing situation is required. The aim of this case study is to clarify how one makes analyses of needs and existing situation, as a starting point, for developing an efficient curriculum for TFL learners. The obtained qualitative and quantitative data from observations of adult TFL learners in Trabzon TÖMER, questionnaires fulfilled by the learners, an open-ended question and interviews organized with TFL teachers showed the needs variety of students. Accordingly, suggestions are given for TFL curriculum makers. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
