Zusammenfassung:In this paper, the recent piece by Srdan Hofman, "Music Toys" for violoncello and double bass (2008), has been surveyed. The results of the analysis and insight in the major part of the composer's output lead to a musicological interpretation of the piece and the contextualization in relation to the "Duel" for piano and live electronics (1996), as well as regarding the recent direction of the composer's work.
