I Understand More Clearly When I Can See Your Face and Hear You Speak

Reviews the book, Integrating Face and Voice in Person Perception edited by Pascal Belin, Salvatore Campanella, and Thomas Ethofer (see record 2012-24286-000). The stated goal of this book is to “highlight recent exciting advances in the investigation of the behavioural and cerebral bases of face–voice integration in the context of person perception” (p. vi). Research described in the text involves a merger of neuroscience and psychology. Social neuroscience research has expanded dramatically in the last decade, as is evident in the numerous references in each of the chapters.
