Walking to the shops : desired but how doable?

Describes community walking distances in the greater Auckland region. Measures shortest single-task distance (disabled carpark to supermarket return) and shortest two-task distance (disabled carpark to supermarket, chemist, return to carpark) in 30 settings randomly selected in the region. Tests level of association between distances (shortest single-task distance and shortest two-task distance) and the number of people living in the suburb.
